JSON formatter.
Format. Validate. Minify. Copy exact JSON values.
01Input
Paste an object, array, or any JSON value. Comments, trailing commas, and single quotes are invalid.
02Settings
JSON / TEXTCtrl/Cmd + Enter updates the result immediately. Formatting changes only whitespace outside strings.
Reading and formatting JSON
{"baud":115200,"enabled":true} becomes readable with indentation. Minify removes whitespace outside strings for a compact payload.
Numbers such as 18446744073709551615, exponent notation, negative zero, string escapes, and property order are preserved exactly. Duplicate keys are preserved and flagged; different JSON readers may handle them differently.
Root items count an object’s properties or an array’s entries. A scalar counts as one item. Character counts use UTF-16 code units; byte counts use UTF-8.
Input is limited to 1 MiB, 128 nested objects/arrays, and 100,000 tokens. Output is limited to 4 MiB. Large output uses a plain text preview. Syntax follows RFC 8259 ↗.
