Built for the workbench.
Small, focused tools for everyday embedded development.
What FirmwareKit does
FirmwareKit helps with the small calculations between reading a datasheet and writing firmware: using Bit Calculator to convert a value, swap byte order, or build a register mask, and checking checksums.
Each tool has a dedicated URL, a reference example, clear validation, and copyable results. There are no accounts and no backend calculations.
Use it for
- Reading register values and selecting bit fields.
- Splitting BLE advertising, NFC Type 2, and custom TLV packets into records.
- Decoding C struct fields from HEX packets and memory captures.
- Checking packet byte order and protocol CRCs.
- Decoding HEX payloads, encoding text, and exporting byte arrays for code.
- Formatting and validating JSON configuration and protocol payloads.
- Converting integers without losing 64-bit precision.
- Finding strings, version labels, URLs, and diagnostics in binary files.
- Inspecting firmware Flash and RAM, symbols, objects, and build differences.
- Combining HEX/BIN images, setting load addresses, and inspecting overlapping memory.
Examples and limits are documented on every tool page. A binary viewer, UART timing, and additional protocol decoders are planned for later releases.
